Ideally single boars should be kept indoors where they will receive extra love & attention from you to compensate for their lack of piggy company. However in the case of single boars housed side by side it is possible to design an outdoor cage suitable for them to interact with each other. (Shop bought hutches are not sturdy enough to house a piggy through winter outside). And as long as you still pay them plenty of attention this is an option. Especially if it means that more lonely single boars in desperate need of homes will be adopted!
Above: At first Glance this cage looks like an ordinary long guinea pig cage. However ordinary it certainly is not! It is custom built cage which allows owner Jilly to keep single boars Pecan & Conker side by side outside.

The boys are separated only by a common mesh wall that runs down the center of the cage. Both boys have lots of space & can interact with each other through the wire whilst being unable to do any harm to each other with claws& Teeth.
As you can see Pecan & Conker have plenty of space & toys to keep them amused & are spoiled by their owner Jilly!
